MORNING SESSION -- 9:30 to 11:30AM Central (8:30 to 10:30AM in Gering)

HOUR ONE:  Economic Forecast 2020 (Presented by Dr. Eric Thompson, Karl H. Nelson Associate Professor of Economics and the Director of the Bureau of Business Research at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln)

This program is designed to provide an overview of what area economists are projecting for the state’s economy in the coming months, with a focus on the impact of the upcoming elections, trends in the agricultural sector, and more. You will come away with a better understanding of short and long-term economic trends and how those trends could impact your clients’ investment and retirement portfolios.

HOUR TWO:  Charitable Gift Planning & Tax Cuts & Job Acts of 2017 (Presented by Jim Gustafson, Director of Advancement and Gift Planning, Nebraska Community Foundation)

This program will provide strategies to help your clients maximize their tax benefits for charitable gifts under the Tax Acts and Job Acts of 2017. Attend this program, and you'll be in a better position on how to advise your clients to take advantage of the benefits and opportunities available via the strategies that are available to them.

The Morning Session will provide two hours of Life credit for NE and IA Life Insurance, CLE, CFP, CPE and PACE (pending approvals). 

LUNCH and NAIFA-NEBRASKA BOARD ELECTION -- 11:30AM to 12:30PM Central (10:30 to 11:30AM in Gering)  - Lunch will be provided in Lincoln and at all streaming sites

AFTERNOON SESSION -- 12:30 to 4:30PM Central (11:30AM to 3:30PM in Gering)

Four-Hour Long-Term Care Review Course (Presented by Angie Hughes, Business Partner at ProducersXL)

Today’s life and health insurance producers must be able to advise consumers regarding products and options that address the potential need for long-term care. This course provides a thorough review of long-term care, long-term care insurance, and long-term care partnership programs.  This course is specifically designed to meet the ongoing study requirement for licensed producers who have completed an initial long-term care training program and has been approved for this purpose in both Nebraska & Iowa.
